Winter incorporates the dark months of December, January and February. The upside of short days means reasonably-timed sunrises and the potential for glittery gorgeous hoar-frosts, and, cosy evenings in, editing images or watching photography-related films and talks. Not forgetting Bonfire night, Christmas, Diwali, Hanukkah and Yule with ceremonies that provide some lovely opportunities: what could be better for photographers than a festival of light?
Our feature photography trip this season will be to the internationally-renowned Jurassic Coast for an exciting day out with an early start to capture an evocative sunrise in an iconic location and ending as the sun sets below the waves.
